Expanding Opportunities for Gypsy Vanner Horses
We’re extremely excited to see new opportunities and exposure to the public opening up for the breed we at LexLin Gypsy Ranch so strongly endorse and promote. As announced on Nov. 29th, the Pinto Horse Association of America, Inc. has updated their ruling on colored horses that demonstrate draft characteristics. Registered Gypsy Vanner Horses and other similar times that have pinto characteristics are now eligible for registration with the PtHA and can compete in PtHA approved shows and activities under the utility horse classification.
Horses considered as Gypsy Cob, Gypsy Vanner, and other similar types are now eligible for registration with the Pinto Horse Association of America.
Opportunities for showing and recreation abound with the Pinto Horse Association. Classes for these flashy equines will be available in all of PtHA established disciplines for horses, including English, and western riding, color, halter, and driving.
Registry for approved outcrosses include horses from the following registries:
- Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse Association
- Gypsy Horse Association
- Gypsy Horse Registry of America, Inc.
- Gypsy Vanner Horse Society
- The Gypsy Cob Society (Ireland)
- The Gypsy Cob Society (United Kingdom)
- Other associations and registries will be evaluated on an individual basis.
Way to go PtHA! Lets keep moving forward to spread the word to the rest of America about fantastic feathered Gypsy Horses!
