“While we enjoy showing and learning more about driving and riding our Gypsy Vanner Horses, we’re most passionate about educating the public and breeding the finest Gypsy Horses that possess correct conformation, athleticism and a fabulous temperament.” says Mechelle.

LexLin Gypsy Ranch is located in the heart of East Tennessee with scenic pastures filled with the finest Gypsy horses. The Barton’s breeding operation possess the most sought after bloodlines with many of the finest qualities desired. The Barton’s say, “We have been blessed with the opportunity and financial means to import many fine Gypsy Horses from the UK. We love this majestic and yet gentle breed. We are working hard to make these quality horses and their bloodlines accessible to people who may not be able to import their own or want to find a quality Gypsy Vanner in the United States.”

Every Gypsy horse is registered immediately upon purchase or birth. DNA and color testing is done as soon as possible also. We provide as much information on each horse to help further establish this old and yet fairly new Gypsy Horse breed here in the US. Having correct lineage and DNA information readily accessible to all who are interested in the Gypsy Horse will really help this breed. We firmly believe this is important to the future of the breed.

“When we bought this ranch, we did so to have a place to raise our five children and to pursue our dream of raising quality horses. We want to sell them for more affordable prices than what you would when you PURCHASE them overseas. Because of the number of horses we purchased from well known Gypsy Horse breeders we are often asked if we are a front for selling imported horses. The answer to that is no, we are not. The vast majority of the Gypsy horses were purchased for our breeding program.” says Eric.
