General Production Sale Information & Rules
1. Register for an auction account in order to place bids.
2. Login/View horses in the production sale anytime after 9 am EST on Saturday, April 30th.
3. Place bids on any horse you would like to purchase from 9 am until the auctioneer announces the particular horse as sold. Once the auctioneer declares that bidding is finished, the horse will be removed from the auction ring, and removed from the auction site online. All bids are final at this point. All auction results will be posted on the website the following day.
4. People bidding at the "live event in person" will have their bids entered into the auction site by our bid master. Please pay attention to the live broadcast as well as what you see on a horse's auction listing on the website.
5. If you want to keep up with bids, refresh the horse's page often by pressing the F5 key on your keyboard (if you have a PC) to see the latest bids. If you were outbid you will receive an e-mail notice as well. As live bidding progresses rather quickly, refreshing the page is the easiest way to stay on top of the current prices.
6. If the horse's reserve price is not met the horse will not be sold.
7. Bid increments are $250 but may increase quickly once the horse enters the ring.
8. All horses will be sold with up-to-date health records, photos, DNA # and registration with the GVHS or another registry of the new owner's selection.
I am the high bidder and the reserve price was met. What are the next steps?
1. If you are the high bidder on a horse you will receive an e-mail confirming that you are the high bidder at the close of the auction online.
2. Please call Eric Barton at 865.816.2761 immediately following the winning bid to get the payment/sales contract process underway. If you're bidding on a horse immediately following the sale of the one you purchased please try to contact us ASAP.
3. Payments accepted via credit card/e-check through paypal (we'll provide a payment link after the horse's listing closes), wire transfer, cash or checks. Please note that all payments via paypal will include a 3.5% convenience fee.
4. All horse purchases must be paid in full on the day of sale unless other arrangements have been approved by Eric & Mechelle Barton of LexLin Gypsy Ranch.
5. Transportation can be provided by LexLin Gypsy Ranch to your facility for $.95/mile or you are welcome to provide your own transportation.
6.See our general Online Auction Policies page for further details. Please note the 2 days for payment policy listed on that page does not apply to the production sale. Payment or Arrangement for payment needs to be made with LexLin Gypsy Ranch on the day of the sale.
