Gypsy Vanner Stallions at Stud

BeesKnees is our premiere Gypsy Vanner Stallion - Brought over from Tom Price's Gypsy Horse herd in Wales as our showcase Gypsy Vanner breeding stallion, he arrived on our ranch August 14, 2009. He was shown in the Feathered Horse Classic this October as well as in the Shelbyville, TN show in April, 2010. Tom Price is quoted as saying, “The BeesKnees is one of the better Gypsy Horse Stallions in the United States”.  As a last note on our stallions, we are blessed to also bring The Midget, The Producer, Sir Maverick, Dreammaker, Geronimo and Gentleman Jack to LexLin Gypsy Ranch here in Tennessee.

The Gypsy Vanner Horse, Gypsy Horse, Gypsy Cob, Irish Cob, Irish Tinker & Romany Horse

Gypsy Vanner is one of the most popular names for the flashy Gypsy breed here in the US. Around the world these horses are known by a variety of other names such as: Gypsy Horse, Gypsy Cob, Irish Cob, Romany Horse, Irish Tinker. These horses were originally bred (and are still bred) by Gypsies in the British Isles for generations. Their temperament, size, and style make them great show horses as well as family horses for many people here in the United States.

The Gypsy breed is relatively rare in the states but is starting to be noticed by more equestrians and breeders. The highlight for many US breeders is a trip to Appleby to purchase horses offered for sale by Gypsies at the famous Gypsy Horse Fair each year. LexLin Gypsy Ranch purchased some horses at the fair in 2009 as well as imported  Gypsy Cobs with outstanding bloodlines, conformation, sterling temperament, movement and expression from the well known Gypsy Horse breeder Tom Price in Wales.
